Open Minds, Open Hearts: A Journey with the Ages

What began more than 20 years ago as a simple teaching career has become a lifelong journey for educator Glenn Orr.  Ask any teacher and he or she will tell you that the most rewarding part of teaching is making meaningful connections with students. But Glenna feels doubly enriched, for her work has allowed her the fortunate opportunity to establish similar connections between students and senior mentors.  This book is a collection of memories about events in time when intergenerational programs were created to bring together two distinct groups of people at very different stages of life:  those who were just beginning their journeys and those who had a lifetime of experiences to share.
