Asia and Europe: Beyond Competing Regionalism

The mid-1990's saw rising regionalism in both the O.E.C.D. and the non-O.E.C.D. area. This book looks at the impact of the phenominon of regionalism on trade and investment relations between Europe and Asia. The concept of regionalism applied in each zone is analysed and contrasted, the role of foreign direct investment in deepening regionalism is identified and the influence of Japan within East Asia is examined.
