What does it mean to live a spiritual life? How can one become more spiritual? In this book Saint offers his own answers to these questions and outlines how one can become more 'spiritually cultivated'. He places great importance on the distinction between the 'private moments' and the 'non-private moments' in one's life, and is particularly concerned with the link between spirituality and the way that a person acts in 'private moments'. He also envisions a central role for the feelings that exist within one and how these interact both with one's thoughts and the thoughts and feelings of other people.
