Eagle Country

Walking through County Mayo Seán Lysaght began to notice not only what was there, but also what was not. Eagles are extinct in Mayo, or rather, they are absent, although suitable habitats abound, as do ancient place-names like "Eagle Peak," "Eagle Rock," and "Crag of the Eagle."
