Little Women In India

It's 1857, and the four teenage May sisters are enjoying an endless round of parties in the colonial town of Shivapur. When a violent rebellion breaks out, they take refuge in an isolated Indian village. Each changes in her own way as they adjust to a new culture, but they all begin to question England's right to rule India. As the rebellion ends, the sisters return home to take up the threads of their old life... with a difference. Soon they discover that their mother has matrimonial plans for them- plans they are determined to resist.
