Unexpectedly, adult siblings Mark, Eliza and Stephan must travel from across the world back to their parental home in Norfolk. There, Eliza's determined exploration and findings from notebooks set all three onto a road of discovery about who they really are and have been as a family, however dispersed they now are. They are forced to reassess their relationships with each other, their partners, children and their parents, Jonathan and Ilsa. At times serious but also funny, the unraveling of their past will impact on their future.
