Dreams of a Captive

All has gone quiet.

Captain Lavette Swift is a prisoner in the infamous Pale Castle, but, for days now, he has heard no guard patrolling the hallway, no screams from his fellow prisoners and no news of the outside world. His only companions: the mocking laughter of the seagulls carried on the breeze and the rotting corpse of his First Mate. His only thought as his mind drifts from wakefulness to sleep and back again – escape! But how?

Unbeknownst to Swift, the world is in flux. Revolution stirs in the east while tyranny tightens its grip in the west. Of all the lives this change is destined to influence, Swift might just be affected the most.
