Embarrassing Siblings, Playground Taunts and other Growing Pains

An anthology of poetry and flash fiction dealing with issues faced by teenagers and young adults in Asian society. Fitting into a new school, early puberty, society pressures, bullying by teachers and pupils; these and many other concerns are reflected. The poetry is based on personal experiences. Many of the stories are set in the 1980s.

The other aim of this book is to encourage teenagers to appreciate poetry and read more. Flash fiction allows reading on a regular basis and a sense of achievement as one story per evening can be completed. The act of reading becomes less daunting.

This anthology gives a strong message to young adults about standing up to bullies and not letting anything or anyone get in the way of goals and dreams.
