Following a life-long interest in aviation and mid-20th century military history, and having being spurred on in recent years by the listening projects run by BBC radio and the personal histories recorded for archive at the Imperial War Museum, William Morland was keen to learn more about the details of his father's service history and his unlikely participation in the Korean War.
