This publication is the published version of the author's ethnomusicology master's thesis in which an investigation of music's relationship to three areas of Bardic tradition, namely Neo-Druidry, the South Wales storytelling community and the National Eisteddfod is undertaken. A brief historical context of the Bards is provided, followed by a discussion of who the modern Bards are. Through observation of events and interviews, the role and use of music within these three areas is explored.
