Angel of the skies, that's how Rita Millard's husband once described her. A man's fantasy, glamorous in her uniform, flying to the world's most fabulous destinations.

But after twenty-five years as a flight attendant, Rita finds herself out of step with an airline that no longer needs her old-world glamour. Unable to keep pace with the low cost model, Rita and her friends approach middle-age fearing the loss of the very thing that binds them together: the waning love for a once respected profession.
