When the call to arms came in 1914, Harold Sutton, as a former soldier with the Gloucestershire Regiment, was keen to serve. Having only recently been discharged from a sanitarium for tuberculosis, however, he had little chance of being passed fit. Harold didn't let that stand in his way and found a doctor who was willing to state that he was medically able to serve, at which point, he rejoined the Gloucestershire Regiment and went to war...

This book tells his story, along with that of his unit and the battles in which they fought.
