In this unusual and gripping narrative, Jacob Avebury teaches himself hypnotherapy and uses it not just to make big money but also to have sex with some of his (female) clients. But then he wants to mete out justice on the abusers of his clients: paedophiles who have abused boys from care homes, pimps who have battered their partners, a big drug baron who has sold drugs to kids, and paedophile MPs who have escaped justice by influence in high places and expensive lawyers. Avebury gives his clients hypnotic instructions to do the things he wants done to their abusers.
This is a darkly entertaining book which takes the subject of hypnotism and hypnotherapy to a new and dangerous level. A hypnotherapist uses his skills to wreak revenge on those who have abused both his clients, his own family and indeed himself. Once the scene is set and the individual characters enter the plush consulting rooms of Jacob Avebury you can't wait to see how it all unravels. Who hasn't wanted revenge at some time in their lives, but thankfully for most it remains in the imagination. The final denouement is very much a case of 'be careful what you wish for'.
