Out of Eden

This book tells the story of a family’s fight to survive in Scotland after India’s independence in 1947. A riches-to-rags story of how one couple and their three children started again from nothing in a new country and triumphed in the face of extreme hardship. They also endured the loss of family members in an air crash in 1950 on a C-54 transport carrier which went missing. No wreckage was ever found and to this day it still remains the largest unresolved missing aircraft incident in North America. An investigation of ‘Operation Mike’ was opened in 2012 following numerous requests from the relatives of the 44 missing personnel.
