Every morning, as the sun rises over the quiet coastal town of Kings Beach, Toby Anderson takes his dog for a run on the sand.

The school year has finished and each new day brings another joke with friends, a swim in the pool and another awkward conversation with a girl.

But when a forgotten relative arrives from America, the promise of a happy and peaceful summer is suddenly threatened and with the unexpected help of a mysterious friend from school, Toby must uncover a dark family secret before it is too late.
