Things That Get You engages the essential questions of life, reflecting on the connectivity of humanity and nature, and the importance of love and family today. He is a close looker, and showers us with varied words that have the intense clarity of images ringing, full of life, like brain-minted coins. His musings imply a large and resonant space, a piece of American Wilderness, in which the Very Large enhances but does not overshadow the Very Small. But he sees, as he grins tentatively our way, that there are meanings in these words, puzzles that tease him and us.'
