|sRuth Roach Pierson took up the pen in pursuit of poetry after a distinguished career in academe. She is the author of two previous poetry collections: Where No Window Was and Aide-méemoire, which was a finalist for the 2008 Governor General's Award. Her poems have appeared in many literary journals as well as a number of anthologies. She lives in Toronto with her partner and their two cats, Haiku and Orange Roughy.
