The Bird of Imagining

Based on poem by Richard Lewis and illustrated by children from New York City public schools, The Bird of Imagining was inspired by a bird's ability to fly - and our ability to imagine. The luminous drawings were created as part of Richard Lewis's work with children in public schools as they listened to his poem and drew the birds of their imagination evolving into the unique qualities of how and why we imagine.
