Missing in the Minarets: The Search for Walter A. Starr, Jr.

In July 1933, San Francisco lawyer and experienced mountaineer Starr, then 30 years old, set off on a solo expedition in the Sierra Nevada mountains to continue his project of creating a guide to the John Muir Trail. He never returned. Drawing on his training as a trial lawyer, Alsup, also a mountaineer, attempts to recreate the events. There is no index to give away the answer. Annotation c.
