Mommy, I Feel Funny! A Child's Experience with Epilepsy

Based on a true story MOMMY, I FEEL FUNNY! introduces the reader to Nel, a little girl who is diagnosed with epilepsy at an early age. The story takes you through the days immediately following Nel's first seizure. Suddenly, Nel and her family are faced with thoughts, fears and emotions that come hand-in-hand with the discovery and acceptance of epilepsy.

While growing up with epilepsy the author found that there were no reading materials on this topic available for children. Even today, only a handful exist. With that in mind, "Mommy, I Feel Funny!" evolved.

It is the author's hope that this uplifting picture book, "Mommy, I Feel Funny!" provides an optimistic perspective for children with epilepsy.

About the author:
Today, Danielle M. Rocheford is happily married and lives in Massachusetts with her husband and son. An avid supporter of the Epilepsy Foundation, Danielle and her husband also dedicate time and service to Cub Scouts of America, as well as several other local charitable organizations.

The experiences of a childhood spent living with epilepsy have led Danielle to make a personal commitment to helping others in a variety of ways, and that brings her great joy.
