Silent Heroes

Many, if not most, families have their own story about mental illness, addictions, or violence. Research depicts that at least 50% of people with substance abuse and addictions have a mental disorder also. The stories presented in this book are small samples of similar tales that most anyone could tell about their family. But, they do not. Due to the stigma and bias regarding mental illness, most people remain "silent heroes".

This book explores the emotional journey and the healthy, although painful, emotional process that is necessary for families to "come to terms" with and find healing regarding the mental disorder of their loved one.
