About the Author:
Charles Monroe Sheldon (1857-1946) was a minister who wrote powerful pictorials of the Christian life. Growing up in the Dakota Territory, he was influenced by his father who founded about one hundred churches as the region's first missionary superintendent. Sheldon went to Brown University before graduating from Andover Theological Seminary and becoming so devoted to sharing the Gospel that he labored alongside snow shovelers, made rounds with doctors, and took classes with college students just to gain a better understanding of their lives and win them to Christ.
