The Dark Elf's Pet

The Dark Elf's Pet is the first in a contemporary fantasy-mystery series, featuring Devon Mosteller, a thirty-year-old gay man who, because of a genetic anomaly, is born with the ability to See and manipulate magic. Even the Fey are envious of his talent, because only pure Humans are born with it.

Unfortunately for Devon, when he accompanies one of his best friends, Yuriko Morimoto on a routine animal control investigation of a howling dog, he gets embroiled in the mystery of a murdered Elf and a half-starved wolf locked in her garage. The complications only get worse when Devon goes to bed cuddling the weak and lonely wolf, but wakes up next to a naked young man instead. Not only is the wolf actually a Werewolf, but he puts Devon in the middle of the FBI, the local Werewolf pack, and the mysterious and dangerous Dark Elves-the Drow.

The Dark Elf's Pet is a novel about self-discovery; about revealing that people aren't always who or what we think they are. It is about people finding friendship, love and discovering the truth about their mettle, in a modern fantasy setting and a gay man, who for once, would just like to wind up with a really great guy who understands him.
