This book is specially designed for tutoring in psychological skills, such as decision-making, conflict-resolution, emotional regulation, kindness, courage, and others. The programmed format is designed for a tutor and student to read together, using "alternate reading" of sections and answering a comprehension probe after each section. As they work through the manual, they learn how to do psychological skills exercises. The exercises in this book are meant to improve psychological strength in the same way that physical exerices improve muscular strength.
