Lil' V Walks Home From School

Lil V is an urban "explorer," a spirited and spunky girl, who lives with her parents in a comfortable three-level row-house.

Our girl walks through the heart of North Philadelphia on her ways to and from school. One day, she has the chance to walk home by herself for the first time. There's a bit of anxiety in her new-found freedom, but she's determined to be brave. She uses her street smarts and the lessons learned from her loving parents to map out an exciting journey.

She illustrates various "rules of the road" that young children should remember: looking both ways, watching for caring adults, and not talking to strangers, as she makes her way home to her family. This debut adventure is the first in a series of Lil' V in Philly books for children, based on the adventures and lessons of the author's childhood experiences.
