Ghosts of Languedoc

Sonny Fox is a woman with a secret. She just doesn't know it. On the run after a troubling incident, she embarks on a solo trip to the Languedoc region of France on behalf of her California vineyard. While there, she is haunted by a melancholy moon, falls under the spell of Carcassonne, explores the mysteries of the Cathars and discovers the beauty of the Canal du Midi. She loses herself in its slow-moving waters, where entranced by a past, she cherishes a hint of sunflowers, the loyalty of new friends, and finds she isn't so different from her parents after all, learning the importance of bearing silent judgment. Inspired by her own trip on the canal, the author has written a story that unravels a confusing history leading to new revelations for Sonny on her journey from a boat called the Knotted Rope to the St. Francis and beyond.
