Contemporary Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors in Special Populations

Despite recent advances in diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease, risk factors for CVD are still underrecognized in many special populations. Increased awareness is needed to better prevent, diagnose and manage CVD in women, Hispanics, African Americans, and other special populations in which CVD is a leading cause of death.
