Judge J. Robert Stump (Ret.) is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Richmond Law School, a law clerk for the late Justice A.C. Buchanan of the Virginia Supreme Court (2 years), a practicing attorney(16 years), a substitute judge of the Virginia General District and Juvenile Courts (8 years), a Trial and Chief Circuit Court Judge in Virginia (28 Years), A Dispute Resolution Mediator (10 years), a litigator, arbitrator, and mediator (50 years)-an unworthy sinner and Christ Believer! He lives in Norton, Virginia with his wife, Alice Marrs Stump. He has two daughters, Mary Beth Stump and Melissa Stump Bowman, son-in-law Brad Bowman, and two grandchildren, Aiden and Lydia.
