Sergeant Isaac Reynolds, a file closer for Company G, Georgia 66th Regiment during the Civil War, never intended to get separated from his fellow soldiers. But when a short jaunt leaves him right in the enemy’s territory he fears for more than being labeled a straggler. He worries for the woman hiding him, too. Desperate to return to his company and save the widow from harm, Sergeant Isaac Reynolds devises a plan. But will that plan be foiled? And will the pretty young widow risk it all to save them both?
