Lucy’s Lamp is a short story that started out being about the author’s mother who was diagnosed with vascular dementia. To the author’s surprise it ends up being about how she comes to terms with her mother being in a skilled nursing facility. Lucy’s Lamp is a truly inspirational story of the acceptance of God’s will.
