Yam Hill

On the day when gravity stopped working, life as we know it ended in a matter of minutes. The only survivors carve out an existence inside a mountain-sized yam, using copper and wire to provide their electricity, to cook, to read, and to quietly pass the days-and years.

The Elders are their protectors, the ones who keep all residents alive, fed, and sheltered. But the Elders don't want anyone to know the truth about Old Earth - that it may be safe to return.

There were uprisings in the past. Those small rebellions were all mashed.

People of the Potato will always have an opinion. They will always have a voice. The Elders must silence those voices so that life inside the potato can carry on, as always, with plenty to eat and not much to accomplish.
