White Baptisms in East Florida,1784-1799: Abstracts from a Church register documenting the birth date of 1,094 children and the place of origin of over 2,000 parents, grandparents, and godparents

1,094 entries from a registry kept by the Catholic Church of children and adults baptized in Spanish East Florida between 1784 and 1799. Each entry consists of the name, birth date and baptism date of the child. This is followed by the father's name and place of birth, mother's maiden name and place of birth, and godparents and their places of birth. Some entries also include the names and places of birth of the grandparents.

These records demonstrate that the Florida residents had immigrated from 28 countries on 5 continents including: the United States, Spain, Minorca, Cuba, England, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Scotland, and more.

Using maps and tables, every 18th century place name has been mapped to its modern location.

Entries are for White residents only. The baptisms of Blacks and Mulattos were kept in a different register.
