Born and raised in an idyllic small town in the 1950s, Nancy’s childhood seemed happy and perfect—on the surface. In reality, the cracks of dysfunction had already taken root within her family. Childhood rejection snowballed into a lifetime of depression, failed marriages, a sister’s suicide, emotional abuse, and codependency. Through the traumas of living with a misogynistic, drug-addicted husband, Nancy eventually found true love in the arms of a Savior she had heard of all her life but never truly known. Through His strength, Nancy’s life went from wretched to victorious, surviving the attacks of the enemy and still finding ways to give of herself and share hope with the hopeless.
