Love Notes

LOVE NOTES will delight both young children and their parents, especially those who are always looking for creative ways to say how much they love each other. This book was inspired by THE WAY MEAT LOVES SALT by Nina Jaffe, in which a Jewish girl is banished from her home because she told her father she loved him "the way meat loves salt." Eventually this story leads to reconciliation with the father. He finally understands the depth of her love and how meat is tasteless without salt. After reading that tale, my children and I began creatively sharing the different ways we love each other. This book is a collection of some of our LOVE NOTES. I hope this simple tradition brings other families as much joy as it brings ours.
