After spawning countless iterations before it, nature has finally created a masterpiece: an influenza strain with an uncommonly high mortality rate. The authorities scramble in an attempt to isolate the contagion but succeed only in slowing its spread. Though hearing the initial reports half a world away, young, carefree Vincent isn’t fazed by the news. It isn’t until local people are hospitalized with the same symptoms the news has been warning against that he takes note and considers the possible implications. Now faced with the harsh, new reality unfolding around him, he must act to survive as his supplies vanish as quickly as his options.
