Escaping West: A Historical Romantic Comedy

Kitty didn't expect to leave town dressed as a man. The law is on her tail and there's no plan B. Time to pull on someone else's big boy pants and accompany her best friend, Harriet, to the frozen Yukon.

A flamboyant gambler, Nick Kennedy, takes an interest in the odd couple. The man personifies everything Kitty has been warned to avoid. That's probably what makes him so irresistible.

Revealing her gender, might snag her a chance at the elusive gambler, but could also land her in prison. She keeps telling herself, he isn't worth it, but she's not entirely convinced.

HISTORICAL FICTION AT ITS BEST!

I completely lost track of time while I was reading this book. It draws the reader in with its fascinating characters and attention to time and place - in this case the west in the 1800's. Superb writing, plot, and characterization. This is a five star book. Enjoy, you're in for a treat

Wyatt has a real talent for weaving humor through a rollicking good plot. Her well drawn characters, major and minor, felt real to me. And I loved the heroine, Kitty, especially when she disguised herself as a man. The chemistry between her and Nick, the gambler, was off the wall.
