Evan's art

How do you introduce art? How do you talk about art with your child? Do you understand art enough to explain it to someone else? Does art even need understanding and explanation?

In this book I try to answer all these questions and more. As a self-taught art-lover, I always wanted to help my children appreciate art. Then the idea came to me to turn my eldest son into a book character and let him explore the world of art on the pages of the book. It is a conversation with my son about life and death, beauty and ugliness, fame and poverty, creativity and finding your passion. This is a dialogue with my boy who, like the Evan in this book, will be 12 one day. One day, many years from today, he will be 12 and we will talk about all these things. But the book already has it all.
