Heart of the Matter

Riki enters the hospital emergency room because Marge, the older woman at the bank from the first comic, called her.

Riki meets Marge's granddaughter, Tessa, an eight-year-old girl.

Tessa's mother was shot in the neck and is in need of emergency surgery so Riki tells Tessa that Marlow is coming in hopes of offering some comfort to Tessa.

When Marlow comes, Tessa is thrilled to meet her as Marlow gives presents to Tessa like a Marlow doll and a belt with a buckle in the shape of an M.
Tessa's mother undergoes the operation but dies during surgery. The surgeon knows that Tessa's mother is an organ donor so her heart is detached and is sent to another medical facility and given to a much needed recipient; a ten year old girl. Bring tissues with you as you will need them to see how this story ends.

Will this bring Mighty Marlow and Riki Adams closer to Tessa?
