Battlefields

Battlefields...the story of war—any twentieth-century or twenty-first-century war and its often tragic aftermath. It is the story of Jody Alvarez, told mostly in his own, often disjointed, words as he struggles to deal with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and what he and his therapist, Miguel McConnell, call his badly miswired brain.

Battlefields is also the story of Jody’s coming to terms with death—which he must witness firsthand—including the traumatic death of Hobie, the only friend Jody has ever had.
