An ambulance screamed past Sisters’ Sewing Shop sending sisters, Laura Alice and Polly Esther out to see what was happening. Quilting club member, Ethel Connelly, had fallen to her death down the cellar stairs at her home right there in Deerfield. The grief stricken ladies of the Sampler Quilting Club didn’t believe Ethel’s fall was an accident. But, who would want to harm dear Ethel? But then, Ethel was the one who listened to others problems and kept many secrets. Perhaps one secret was too dangerous to keep.
