Lake Louise 2017: Mosquito and Horse Trail July 8th!

On July 8th 2017 I went to Lake Louise for the first time this year! The weather was really good and the pictures turned out nicely.

I got there early and had no problem getting a seat on the terrace of the Alpine Social Restaurant with a beautiful view onto the lake!

Afterwards I wanted to hike to Lake Agnes but I hate hiking uphill, that is why I tried to take an easier route where it said it would lead to a lake. But, unfortunately for me it turned out to be a horse trail with horse poop and mosquitoes and no lake ever coming into my view!

Some people came by on horses and after asking so many people in the end I realized, that I had better turned back! It was no use, the mosquitoes were attacking like crazy, it was just a waste of time.

In my frustration, I made a video and called it: Mosquito frenzy and horse poop trail! in which I filmed the people on the horses going by and me killing a ton of mosquitoes! But I didn't post it on YouTube. It somehow doesn't look good as a vegetarian! My excuse is, that it was self-defense but maybe more likely revenge! I got at least ten mosquito bites that day!

This somehow had a spiritual meaning: Don't try to make it easier on yourself by going the easy route, because all you get is trouble and no reward! Do your spiritual practice, there is no easier way!

I made a lot of videos at the lake and posted them on you tube and I also visited the horses (took no pictures) and made videos.

Back in Lake Louise Village I ordered an ice cream against my better judgement in the Post Hotel, even though I wasn't hungry. I had to pack some up since I couldn't finish it! My mind was playing tricks on me or it was just plain greed!

Since I was too early in Banff I visited the park again.
