Traveller, merchant, and writer Corsey Clamming is mad at the greed all around, and ready for change as he records his days in a diary writing of folks struggling in a hard world. But is it hard, or do people make it the cruel thing they find? Corsey believes in a world he consciously creates. Does he make it hard too? He changes as he sets out and meets gentle people who faced death in the forests of British Columbia, and still face that spectre. He interrupts a desperate act in dry Nevada hills, and tangles with Mexicans illegals running the US border...both ways. Tripping deeper into Mexico, Corsey falls for foxy ladies, aging men still search for love, narco-lords battle as bullets fly, and buses careen on the edges of annihilation.
