L'Invention du nombre: Des mythes de creation aux Elements d'Euclide

Ethnography and oriental mythologies clearly show the archaic modelling of creative energy through the contradictory concept of the multiplicity of the One : hence the possibility of the concept of integer. This work explores its genesis in different societies and its theorization in Euclid's Elements.
