This collective, interdisciplinary work is devoted to translation as a possible form of political action in French and Italian linguistic contexts between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries, which is explored in five case studies: Guicciardini, Rousseau, Beccaria, Chateaubriand, and Proudhon.
