Cahiers d'Art Revue, No. 1, 2014, French Language Edition: Hiroshi Sugimoto

This issue, a true tribute ti Sugimoto, is rooted in "The World is Dead Today", a story written by Sugimoto for his exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo, juxtaposed against his own eclectic antiques collection, and never before seen images of his work, all recounting the end of modernity. Texts include a Hans Ulrich Obrist interview of the artist and contributions from renowned architect Jacques Herzog and Akiko Miki, Chief Curator, Palaid de Tokyo, in addition to an essay by Daniel Birnbaum, Director of the Moderna Museet, on the mathematical dimensions to Duchamps oeuvre, and areprint of an archival article from a 1929 Cahiers d'Art presentation on Brancusi's work with texts from surrealist playwright Roger Vitrac and Brancusi, himself.
