Mysterious Love

To me, it was not fun being the last lady in my crew to turn twenty-five years old.

It was just a week to my twenty-fifth birthday, when my friends decided to throw a surprise birthday party for me. I did not suspect that they had such plans for me until the morning of my birthday when I eavesdropped on Debbi ordering a birthday cake.

That was Tuesday, May 10, 1988.

It was no secret to my friends that after my last tragic relationship, I vowed to stay away from relationships until my twenty-fifth birthday. The greatest surprise they had for me was to invite my university boyfriend whom I dumped for a richer and prominent business tycoon.

Seeing Sheldon in the party after quite a long time was revealing to me. I was happy about the fact that I had finally forgiven him and I could stand his presence again.
