Christian Marclay: Fire & Water: Series Zagzig

In 2012, Christian Marclay (born 1955) was invited to participate in Mixed Bathing World, an international contemporary arts festival in the port town of Beppu, Japan. Along the length of the pier jutting out into Beppu's harbor, Marclay installed 100 banners to which 100 differently tuned bells were attached. The sound of their collective resonance is documented on a CD in this volume, which also includes color reproductions of the installation and commentary.
