Kartesianische Hohlen/Cartesian Caves: School Building Eichmatt, Cham / Bunzli & Courvoisier Architekten

This large, rod-shaped wooden building stands calmly and soberly in the landscape. It scarcely hints at the complexity, tension and great spatial quality with which its cavernous interior is formed. This and the precisely, deliberately developed interplay between construction and form reflect mature architectural skill.
