This handbook offers an overview of the diversity of perspectives on communication: including perspectives from biology, sociality, economics, norms & human development. The scope of the contributions is global, and the volume is relevant to both the empirical and philosophical traditions in human sciences. This is also an introduction to the multi-volume Handbooks of Communication Science.
