Spectral Theory of Canonical Systems

Spectral Theory of Canonical Systems offers an introduction into basic theory of ordinary differential equations and how common second order operators such as Schrödinger, Jacobi, Dirac and Sturm-Liouville can be cast into a canonical system. Techniques to construct self-adjoint operators on suitable Hilbert spaces, a modern treatment of de Branges spaces and direct and inverse spectral problems are discussed.
